BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott men's tennis team will open up its 2019 season this weekend on Sunday, February 24 against Emerson, on the road, at 1:30 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Gulls, who have won nine or more matches in every season since 2013-14, will look to continue their success behind the play of the reigning CCC Rookie of the Year, Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.), and fellow All-Conference selections Thomas Brent (Gorham, Maine) and Keaton McCleary (Charlotte, N.C.).
- Endicott's senior class, consisting of Ozan Cermik (Cumberland, R.I.), Christos Papadopoulos (Weymouth, Mass.), Anthony Rinaldi (Attleboro Falls, Mass.), and McCleary, will also be relied upon to guide the squad this season.
- In seven out of the last eight years, the Blue and Green have reached the CCC semifinals.
- This Sunday's match marks the head coaching debut of Anthony D'Angelo.
- Endicott needs seven more wins this spring to reach the 150-win plateau in program history.
