Box Score

BEVERLY, Mass. - The third-seeded Endicott College men's tennis team rallied for a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to take five of the six singles matches to defeat the sixth-seeded Western New England Golden Bears in the TCCC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon in Beverly, Mass. With the win, the Gulls advance to Tuesday's Semifinals against Salve Regina in Newport, R.I.

Endicott found itself in an uncomfortable hole entering the singles matches, as Western New England was able to win two of the three doubles games to hold a one-point advantage over the Blue and Green. Despite the slight deficit, Endicott's Josh Schoen (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Dan Murray (Coventry, R.I.) were able to defeat WNEC's Alex Boutin (Bristol, Conn.) and Brian Relihan (Orange, Conn.) in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectfully.

Devon Locke (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) posted a victory over Mike Jones (Stone Ridge, N.Y.), only to have Jason Lee (Scarsdale, N.Y.) defeat Mike D'Ambra (Barrington, R.I.) in convincing fashion, 6-2, 6-1. However the Gulls would eventually hold on for the win as Scott Teller (Granville, N.Y.) downed Steve Genovese (North Haven, Conn.), 7-5, 6-0, and Shawn Cadagan (Reading, Mass.) swung past JonPaul Ouellette (Bethlehem, Conn.) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
