SALEM, MA - The Endicott College men's tennis team went on the road to earn a 9-0 win over Salem State College Wednesday afternoon.
The Gulls improved to 2-4 this season and will take on Rhode Island College in their home opener this afternoon at 3:30 PM. Some of the matches were scored using the pro style eight-game sets because of darkness issues.
Winners for EC in singles play were No. 1 Josh Schoen Phoeniz, AZ/Arcadia) (6-1, 6-2); No. 2 Scott Teller (Granville, NY/Granville) (9-7); No. 3 Gabe Moraga (Marlboro, CT/Marlboro) (6-0, 6-4); No. 4 Marc Maloney (Feeding Hills, MA/Agawam) (8-2); No. 5 David Micka (Belchertown, MA/Belchertown) (8-3); and No. 6 Parker Olen (Falmouth, ME/Falmouth) (8-3).
Schoen/Moraga teamed up to win at first doubles (8-3) while Teller/Micka won at second doubles (8-1) and Nate Buell (Westfield, MA/Westfield)/Maloney were victorious at third doubles (8-5).
