NEWPORT, R.I. — The No. 6 nationally ranked Endicott men's rugby team defeated Salve Regina, 65-7, on a rainy and windy Saturday morning in Newport.
In a dominant effort from the forward pack, Jordan Chappell (Sunapee, N.H.) led the way as man of the match for the Blue and Green. He punched in four tries on the afternoon.
Will Savage (Weymouth, Mass.) and Matthew Bant (Jenkintown, Pa.) each logged two tries on the day, while Toby Gibbons (Devonshire, Bermuda), Brad Digiacomo (Simsbury, Conn.), and Drew Hodges (Mason, N.H.) each recorded one apiece.
Gibbons also made a highlight tackle on the left wing to thwart a Seahawks scoring attempt.
Kyle Ernest (Severna Park, Md.) converted five of his eleven conversion attempts on the day, with the elements having played an effect on the contest.
