BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's lacrosse senior defender Andrew Fithian (Marshfield, Mass.) has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week, as announced by the organization earlier today.
Last week (5/5 & 5/8), Fithian was key to the Gulls winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship as the senior defender compiled nine ground balls and five caused turnovers in two playoff contests.
The senior also was exceptional on one-v-one defense, the slide, and in transition for the Gulls, which resulted in Endicott holding Western New England to the second-lowest goal total in the history of the CCC Championship.
This is his first career USILA Team of the Week honor.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (12-2) takes on No. 9 nationally ranked Christopher Newport in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 15 in Owings Mills, Md. at 3 PM.
