Men’s Lacrosse Takes Care Of Curry On Senior Day, 21-4

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Curry, 21-4, in conference action on Senior Day (Wednesday evening) at Hempstead Stadium.

At the conclusion game, Endicott seniors Brendan Croston (Andover, Mass.), Sam DesMarais (York, Maine), Calvin Driscoll (Plaistow, N.H.), Andrew Fithian (Marshfield, Mass.), James Loughran (Cos Cob, Conn.), Matt McCleary (Blauvelt, N.Y.), Kevin Morency (Beverly, Mass.), Neal Parry (Marshfield, Mass.), Reed Rezanka (San Diego, Calif.) and Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.) and graduate students Austin Fournier (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.), John Koebel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and Nick Sturgess (Hampstead, N.H.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the College.

Endicott surged out to an 11-0 advantage at halftime and cruised the rest of the way to push its record to 9-2 overall and 6-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play.

Sutherland paced the offense with six goals and three assists, while Croston, McCleary, Jaden Elsinger (Jericho, Vt.), Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.), DesMarais, and Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.) chipped in with two apiece. 

The Gulls also saw Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.), Max Maggipinto (Westfield, Mass.), and Parry notch one goal each in the victory.

Meanwhile, in cage, Fournier stopped five shots to move his record to 9-2 on the year.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 5-0 at home this season.
  • Sutherland compiled a career-high nine points (6g, 3a). 
  • The Gulls are 27-2 all-time against Curry.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (9-2, 6-0 CCC) travels to Nichols on Saturday at 12 PM. Curry (4-7, 3-3 CCC) hosts Roger Williams this Saturday at 1 PM.
