Sutherland, Fournier Receive CCC Weekly Honors

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's lacrosse student-athletes Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.) and Austin Fournier (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Sutherland claimed Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Fournier was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Last week for the Gulls, Sutherland scored 14 points in Endicott's final two regular season contests, both victories. Sutherland opened the week with a career-best performance against Curry, setting personal highs in goals (6) and points (9). He followed that up with another hat trick, the final of his three goals marking the 100th of his career, and two more assists in a victory over Nichols. His 14 points were the most on the team this week.

Meanwhile, Fournier made 16 saves to help Endicott to a pair of victories over Curry and Nichols. Eleven of his 16 saves came against the Bison. Fournier only allowed seven goals last week in just over 108 minutes in net giving him a 3.88 goals-against average and a 69.6 save percentage.
