BEVERLY, MA - The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association has named Endicott's Dan Ryan (Billerica, MA/Billerica), Patrick Gaffney (Worcester, MA/St. John's) and Eddie O'Reilly (Beverly, MA/Beverly) to the 2007 Division III All New England Men's Lacrosse team.
Dan Ryan, a senior captain midfielder, notched 23 goals and handed out 18 assists in 16 games for the Gulls this season. Ryan had his season cut short with a leg injury, forcing him to miss the CCC finals and Endicott's NCAA first round game with Tufts University.
Patrick Gaffney appears on the NEILA All-New England squad for the second straight time in his illustrious career. The senior captain defender has served as one of the foundations for the Endicott defense for the past four years. Gaffney led the Gulls to a top-15 national ranking while anchoring an Endicott defense that only allowed 6.3 goals against per game (10th in the country).
Much of the Gulls transition game was sparked by the speed and vision of Eddie O'Reilly. The sophomore middie ranked fourth on the Gulls with 54 points (31 goals and 23 assists) in 2007. He capped off his strong spring with the Blue and Green by scoring a goal and assisting on two others in Endicott's, 9-8, loss in the NCAA first round to \#9 Tufts University.
