Eleven Gulls Named to CCC All-Conference Teams

BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College men's lacrosse team is well represented in the Commonwealth Coast Conference's annual All-Conference awards release as 11 Gulls were honored for their standout performance in the 2007 season.

Senior attackman Josh Gilbert (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) was selected to the CCC First-Team and was also named the conference Offensive Player of the Year. Gilbert has scored a team-high 52 goals entering the NCAA Tournament this week. Joining Gilbert on the first team is fellow attackman Nick Cosco (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry), whose 36 goals is third-best for the Blue and Green.

At the midfield position sophomore Eddie O'Reilly (Beverly, MA/Beverly) notches First-Team recognition for his standout spring. The Beverly, MA native has tallied 30 goals and dished out 21 assists for a 51 point season.

The anchors of the Endicott defense were also named to the Conference top-team as senior defender Patrick Gaffney (Worcester, MA/St. John's) earned the CCC Defensive Player of the Year award while sophomore goaltender Sean Kearney (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) was named to the First-Team in his first full season between the pipes for the Gulls.

Brandon Dube (Danvers, MA/Danvers), Dan Ryan (Billerica, MA/Billerica), John Ortolani (Billerica, MA/Billerica), Adrien Peacock (Billerica, MA/Billerica) and Rick Hancock (Wading River, NY/Shorham-Wading River) were all named to the Second Team All-Conference squad while Alex Marshall (Eliot, ME/Marshwood) was selected as an Honorable Mention.

Endicott returns to action on Wednesday evening as they travel to Medford, Massachusetts to take on Tufts University in the opening round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
