WENHAM, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team fell to crosstown rival Gordon College, 105-98, in overtime on Thursday night at the Bennett Center.

Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) notched a team-high 28 points (10-20 FG, 4-8 3PT, 4-5 FT), while Nick Thibeault (Gorham, Maine) added 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-3 3PT, 2-2 FT). Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) also compiled 17 points (6-13 FG, 4-11 3PT, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, four assists, and a steal.

Trailing 88-85 with 1:17 left to play in regulation, the Gulls tied up the contest when Joel Villa (Bronx, N.Y.) swished a three-pointer at the 1:03 mark off a feed from Joe Shehadi (Dorset, Vt.). Endicott then forced overtime on the next possession as the Gulls staved off a game-winning layup by Gordon with some strong interior defense with seven seconds remaining.

In overtime, Endicott grabbed an early 90-88 advantage on a made jumper from Brown, but Gordon countered with a 9-2 run over the next 3:16 of action to pull away from its rivals. The next 1:08 of play featured a spirited comeback bid by Endicott although the Fighting Scots' lead was too much to overcome that late.
