2016 ZAG Field Hockey/ NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction Release

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team had 15 student-athletes recognized as members of the 2016 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad as announced today by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) office.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.

Endicott's honorees are headlined by seniors Emily Paladino (North Reading, Mass.) and Jamie Corda (Higganum, Conn.)juniors Courtney Brown (Byfield, Mass.), Brittany Bushey (Pittsford, Vt.),  Emily Hirtle (Rowley, Mass.), Melanie Kaleta (Bellingham, Mass.), Emylee Wood (Kensington, N.H.), Madi Wood (Bristol, Vt.), sophomores Cameron Molinare (Simsbury, Conn.), Elizabeth Murtagh (New Fairfield, Conn.) and Maggie O'Reilly (Cheshire, Conn.), and freshmen Julie Champigny (Acton, Mass.), Emily Graham (Westford, Mass.), Kelsey McPhee (Franklin, Mass.), and Meg Sandblom (Scituate, Mass.).

NFHCA DIII SCHOLAR OF DISTINCTION

Additionally, the Endicott field hockey team placed three student-athletes (McPhee, Molinare, Sandblom) on the 2016 ZAG Field/ NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction list as also announced today by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) office.

The Scholars of Distinction honor is awarded to those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.

The Gulls (11-9, 9-3 CCC) made the team's sixth-straight appearance in the CCC Semifinals and had 11 student-athletes named to the CCC Academic All-Conference Team this season,15 student-athletes recognized as members of the Division III National Academic Squad, and the team earned the ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Team Academic Award for the 10th year in a row.
