WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team defeated host Gordon College, 2-0, Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
Junior defender Emylee Wood (Kensington, N.H.) gave the Gulls a 1-0 lead heading into the half as she converted a rebounded shot in traffic in the 34th minute for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
Sophomore defender Maggie O'Reilly (Cheshire, Conn.) added an insurance goal off a corner play in the 68th minute as junior midfielder Samantha Crowley (Leicester, Mass.) inserted the ball to junior midfielder Madi Wood (Bristol, Vt.) as the stick-stop.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott out-shot Gordon, 29-3, with a 13-0 margin on goal.
- The Gulls took a season-high 21 penalty corners to Gordon's four.
- Crowley leads the Gulls with seven assists on the season,(tied for third-most in the conference).

- Endicott is now 17-8 in the all-time series against Gordon, which dates back to 2003.

FOR THE FOES
- Senior goalie Shannon Hicks (Scarborough, Maine) registered a game-high 11 saves in the loss as she fell to 5-7 on the season.
- Sophomore defender Briana Kowolenko (Brooklyn, Conn.) and senior defender Bailey Balmer (Perkasie, Pa.) each recorded a defensive save for Gordon.
