SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Endicott College freshman Anna Giannoni was awarded Rookie of the Week honors for this week as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Tuesday. Giannoni was an integral part of the Gull attack as they were able to post a 2-0 record this week by beating Fitchburg State and Plymouth State.
The freshman was able to score the first goals of both matches including the game-winner in a 4-0 shutout against Fitchburg State to open the week. On the season, Giannoni has three goals in helping Endicott to a 3-1 start to the young campaign.
Giannoni looks to lead the Gulls to victory again as they take on the University of Maine at Farmington on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Farmington, Maine.
