The Endicott Field Hockey Team fell short of one of their goals on Saturday losing to New England College, 3-0, at home in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship.
Despite the loss the Gulls proved all season long that they deserve a spot in post season play. With a 13-8 record and strong showings against some of the top teams in the region the Gulls received a bid to continue play in the ECAC tournament. Only 8 teams in New England earn this bid. Endicott is ranked 7th and will play No. 2 ranked Springfield (14-9) tonight at 7:00 at Springfield.
Last year was the first time Endicott Field Hockey received a bid to continue play. As the 8th ranked team they lost in the first round. The winner of tonights match will play Saturday versus the winner of the Babson / Wellesley contest.
