Toupin Qualifies For Nationals

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. — Gulls' junior rider Emily Toupin (Oakham, Mass.) posted a nationals qualifying performance on Friday evening to highlight the Endicott equestrian program at Zones at the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center.

Toupin earned Reserve Champion honors with a second place finish in novice, punching her ticket to nationals in Lexington, Kentucky in early May (4-7).

Toupin is the first student-athlete to qualify for nationals since Isabella Jarosiewicz (Boxford, Mass.) did so in 2019 (intermediate flat).

Endicott competes in Zone 1 Region 4 which features five regions. Eleven schools compete in Region 4 alone.

Meanwhile, Sophia Channell (Vergennes, Vt.) ranked fifth in limit flat and seventh in intermediate over fences to conclude the list of highlights for the Gulls.

"Both women rode beautifully today in very competitive classes. I am so proud of both their efforts and even more excited that we are sending a rider to nationals," said Endicott equestrian head coach Meghan Martin. "It's a huge accomplishment for any rider or team, and I'm thrilled that we are going in my second season as their coach!"
