Equestrian Places Third At Boston University Show

HANOVER, Mass. — The Endicott equestrian team placed third overall out of eight programs at the Boston University Show on Saturday evening to open up its season.

Hope Forcellina (South Windsor, Conn.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts with a Regionals qualifying performance in limit flat (first place).

Endicott also saw Emily Bocklet (Cross River, N.Y.), Isabelle Wulff (New London, N.H.), and Shaina Zaslow (Lexington, Mass.) all produce first place finishes in limit over fences, limit over fences, and novice flat, respectively, to contribute to the third place finish.

"We had a fantastic start to the season, with four wins and all our riders putting in strong efforts," said Endicott equestrian head coach Megan Martin. "I think we are going to have an excellent season and bring home a lot more blue ribbons in the next five weeks!

OTHER SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sophia Channell (Vergennes, Vt.) was second in limit flat and fourth in intermediate over fences.
  • Emily Toupin (Oakham, Mass.) ranked second in novice flat.
  • Faith Ploof (Westfield, Vt.) earned runner-up honors in novice flat.
  • Helen Barrow (Swanton, Vt.) produced a pair of fourth place finishes (open flat, open over fences).
  • Riley Miller (Acton, Mass.) checked in at fourth overall in limit over fences.
  • Anna Berd (Hubbardston, Mass.) concluded the list of highlights in novice flat (fifth place).
