Endicott College Recounts The Legacy Of Departing CCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Longtime Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye has announced that he will step down as Commissioner at the end of the 2022-23 academic year. Kaye has served as the first and only full-time CCC Commissioner since the role was established in 2007.

Endicott College President Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., has worked with Kaye in his post as Chair of the CCC and noted that, under Kaye's leadership, the conference has grown significantly by adding new full and associate members, expanding sponsorship and championship opportunities, and increasing its competitive profile nationally and regionally.

A CCC member since 1999, Endicott has a storied history with the conference. Most recently, in the fall of 2022, the football team secured its second straight CCC title alongside women's volleyball and women's tennis winning their third straight titles, respectively.

"Seeing the joy of our student-athletes as they reach the pinnacle of their athletic pursuits never gets old, and I'm proud to have worked alongside Gregg. His dedication to making the conference experience so special for legions of student-athletes is commendable," said DiSalvo. "I wish him all the best in his next chapter and thank him for everything."

Endicott College Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Brian A. Wylie echoed this sentiment.

"Year after year, our programs compete at the highest levels as a member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference, and the success and experiences that our student-athletes share, create life-long memories they never forget," he said. "I'm grateful to Commissioner Kaye for his leadership over the years."

The CCC will soon begin a national search for a new commissioner.
