Schueler, Tecun Named To NEWVA Senior All-Star Game

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's volleyball student-athletes Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) and Lexi Tecun (Hawthorne, Calif.) have both been voted to participate in the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Senior Classic All-Star Game.

This year, the NEWVA All-Star Game will be held inside Eastern Nazarene College's Lahue Athletic Center in Quincy, Mass on December 2, 2023, at 1 PM. The game brings together student-athletes from NCAA Division III colleges/universities in New England for one final contest following the conclusions of their last collegiate season(s).

Schueler and Tecun are two of 24 members voted on by coaches in the region to participate in the game.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Both Schueler and Tecun were vital pieces of the Endicott women's volleyball program over the last five years and helped the Gulls reach the CCC Championship match this season.

Schueler finished the season with 266 kills (2.66 kills per set), a .292 hitting percentage, and 62 total blocks (three solo, 59 assists). The Trumbull, Conn. native was named CCC Player of the Week on 10/9/23 after she recorded a career-high 21 kills and six blocks in a 3-2 comeback win over Roger Williams. This season, Schueler had 14 matches with 10 or more kills. After the season she was named to the All-CCC First Team along with being named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region Team and All-American Honorable Mention squad.

Tecun was a leader on the court for the Gulls as she played in 28 of 29 matches finishing the season with 147 digs (1.71 digs per set), 20 service aces, and 23 assists. In the final nine matches of the season, recorded 48 receives making zero errors as the Gulls were 6-3 during the stretch.
