Women's Volleyball Drops Matches To Ithaca And No.13 MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Ithaca and No. 13 MIT by identical 3-0 scores on Saturday evening at the Rockwell Cage. 

ITHACA 3, ENDICOTT 0 (18-25, 19-25, 15-25)

Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) led the team in kills with eight. 

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) added seven kills in the loss, while Francesca Batek (Rochester, N.Y.), Julia Giroux (Bedford, N.H.),  and Megan Murphy (Danvers, Mass.) all contributed five putaways, respectively.

Savannah Cambell (Sequel, Calif.) was in the middle of the action again with 26 assists, a service ace, two digs, and a block assist. 

Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) also compiled a team-high eight digs from the back row.


MIT 3, ENDICOTT 0 (15-25, 23-25, 9-25)

Helenbrook and Murphy paced the attack with five kills apiece.

Schueler and Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) also contributed three kills each, while Cambell registered 20 assists and four aces. 

Ruel guided the defense for the second straight match via nine digs.


BEYOND THE BOX SCORES

  • Helenbrook led Endicott with 12 kills in the two matches.
  • For her efforts on the day, Ruel was named to the MIT Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Endicott (3-2) hosts Springfield this coming Wednesday at 7 PM.
