Ruel Named CCC Libero of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's volleyball student-athlete Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Libero of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

In a 2-1 week for Endicott, Ruel led the team with 4 digs per set (48) and went 62-of-66 in serve receive. Added four service aces and 12 assists during the week which featured wins over regionally ranked opponent, Wheaton (Mass.) (W, 3-2) and CCC opponent Western New England (W, 3-0).

Against Wheaton, led a strong backline by recording 22 digs and went 22-of-24 in serve receive. Added five assists and one service ace in the win. Versus Western New England, had 17 digs and a service ace while going a perfect 12-for-12 in serve receive. 

In Endicott's lone loss to Brandeis, (L, 3-1) she recorded nine digs and went 28-of-30 in serve receive while tying a season-high in assists with seven to go with two service aces.

This is Ruel's sixth Libero of the Week honor (9/12/2022, 10/11/22, 10/24/22, 11/7/22, 10/9/23).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (13-13) hosts the University of New England on Tuesday, November 7 at 7 p.m. in the first round of the CCC Tournament.
