Women's Volleyball Sweeps Western New England, 3-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Western New England, 3-0, by scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-17 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday morning at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Gulls with 14 kills (.407 hitting percentage) and 16 digs. 

Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) also added nine putaways (.444), while Julia Giroux (Bedford, N.H.) sent home eight kills.

Savannah Cambell (Sequel, Calif.) recorded a match-high 23 assists and a team-high three service aces. 

Defensively, Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) led a strong backline with 17 digs (match-high).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 23-4 against Western New England (winners of 11 straight).
  • Sixth double-double for Helenbrook this season.
  • Third straight match with 20 or more assists for Cambell.
  • Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.) and Helenbrook each led the squad with two block assists.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (13-13, 7-1 CCC) enters the CCC Tournament next week as the No. 2 seed and will host No. 7 seed UNE on Tuesday, November 7 at 7 PM. Western New England (11-11, 5-3 CCC) enters the CCC Tournament as the No. 3 seed and hosts No. 6 seed Roger Williams on Tuesday at 7 PM.
