BEVERLY, MA- Rivier College ended the Endicott women's volleyball season Friday night in the first round of the ECAC tournament, with a 3-1 victory at the US Coast Guard Academy.
The Gulls, making their second consecutive post-season appearance, finished 23-15, while the Raiders improved to 28-9 after defeating Endicott 30-24, 30-15, 18-30, 30-24. Rivier will face top-seeded Coast Guard on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
Senior Killeen Ross (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) had 12 digs and nine kills in her final collegiate match, while junior Sara Moore (Guilford, CT/Guilford) contributed 10 kills. Sophomore setter Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) had 31 assists, freshman Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH/Oyster River) added three blocks, and freshman Brittany Nolan ( Monroe, CT/Masuk) had 29 digs.
Katelyn Smith (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) led the Gulls with seven aces, while Kaylee Krom (Strasburg, CO/Strasburg) added 11 digs for Endicott, which made its first-ever post season appearance in the NCAA tournament in 04'.
