BIDDEFORD, ME -- In Commonwealth Coast Conference volleyball action at the Campus Center, sophomore setter Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) broke her own school record for assists as Endicott College swept the University of New England and Anna Maria each by a 3-0 margin Saturday.
Hall handed out 45 assists versus the Nor'Easters to break her old three-game record of 42 (set in 2004 versus Plymouth State University). She also had five service aces to lead the Gulls, who won 30-26, 35-33 and 30-23. Endicott finished the sweep by besting Anna Maria 30-9, 30-7 and 30-17 improving to 10-8 overall and 4-1 in the CCC.
Freshman middle hitter Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH/Oyster River had 14 kills to lead Endicott's opening match attack, while freshman outside hitter Kaylee Krom (Strasburg, CO/Strasburg) contributed 10. Senior outside hitter Killeen Ross (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and freshman libero Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT/Masuk each had 15 digs.
The Gulls kept attacking versus Anna Maria with sophomore outside hitter Kim Marschner (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry) and junior outside hitter Amy Stevens (Clinton, CT/Morgan School) doing the majority of the damage. Marschner had 11 kills and Stevens provided 13 kills and three aces while Katelyn Smith (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) added a team-high 13 digs.
Endicott is at home Tuesday versus Salve Regina (7:00 pm).
