More Honors Bestowed Upon Gulls

BEVERLY, MA -- Sophomore Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA) was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for September 12, 2005 after leading the Gulls past Salem State (3-0), Brandeis (3-0) and Clark (3-1).

Hall averaged 10.25 assists over eight games, along with 3.38 digs per game and recorded 10 kills. She dished out 41 assists versus Clark, putting her one shy of her own single game record for assists (42 versus Plymouth State in 2004).

Freshman Kaylee Krom (Strasburg, CO) earned Honor Roll rookie of the week, averaging 2.60 kills and hit .271 in 10 games.

Freshman Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT) was awarded Libero of the week. Nolan averaged 5.00 digs and .75 service aces in eight games, along with just three errors in 57 serve-receive attempts. Nolan also received a share of last week's award and is the sixth Gull honored by the CCC in two weeks.
