SOMERVILLE, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team fell to Tufts University, 4-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at Kraft Field.
Leading 1-0 at the break, Tufts tacked on three more goals in the second half – including two from Jess Capone (Schenectady, N.Y.) only 3:51 a part – to secure its first non-league win since September 7 (season opener).
Endicott's Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) shined despite the loss stopping a single-game career high 15 shots. Armbruster's 15 saves in today's game also fell one shy of tying the No. 10 highest save total in program history.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Armbruster's previous single-game career high for saves was 11 versus Tufts on October 14, 2015.
- Tufts holds a 4-1-2 record in the all-time series against Endicott.
FOR THE FOES
- Along with goals from Capone in the 73rd and 77th minutes, respectively, Margaret Zahrah (Chicago, Ill.) found the back of the net at 30:01 and Mariah Harvey-Brown (Mill Valley, Calif.) buried her fourth goal of the season at 61:02.
- Emily Bowers (Needham, Mass.) made one save in the shutout victory to improve to 5-3-3 on the year.
- The Jumbos outshot Endicott, 32-3.
