SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – With the 2016 season just over a week away, the Endicott women's soccer team earned the fourth spot in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason poll as was announced by the Conference Office on Wednesday.
The Gulls received 73 points towards the poll to finish fourth behind reigning CCC champion Roger Williams (96 points, 6 first place votes), No. 2 ranked Wentworth (94 points, 4 first place votes), and the University of New England (75 points).
Picked to finish fifth (53 points) was Gordon, just ahead of Salve Regina (52 points), while Western New England (33), Curry (31), Eastern Nazarene (28) and Nichols (15) finished 7-10, respectively.
Endicott (9-8-3, 5-3-1 CCC in 2015), opens up its 2016 season on the road at Salem State on September 1 at 7:00 p.m. The first home contest for the Gulls is against the Owls of Keene State on Saturday, September 3 at 1:00 p.m.
