Pernice and Cade Earn First CCC Weekly Awards of 2016

CCC RELEASE FOR WEEK OF AUG. 29 - SEPT. 4

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team saw two members earn weekly awards from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office on Tuesday as Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) and Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) were named Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Pernice, averaged two points per match on the week, logging two assists against Salem St., and a goal against Keene St. In the match against Salem St., Pernice assisted on both the second and third goals in the team's 4-0 win, which matched her assist total for her entire 2015 season. Against Keene, the attacking mid scored in the 60th minute, the third of the match for the Gulls in a 4-2 win. The goal was her first of the young season and fifth of her career.

Cade, an outside mid, scored a goal in back-to-back matches to begin her collegiate career and through two contests, sat tied for the team lead with four points. Against Salem St., Cade scored in the 61st minute before then scoring in the 73rd against Keene. Her two goals on the week came as a result of just four total shots, three of which were on goal.

The duo will look to help keep Endicott unbeaten on Saturday when the Gulls (2-0-1) travel to Eastern Nazarene (0-2-0) for a noon start on Saturday.
