Armbruster & Pesci Claim CCC Weekly Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) and freshman Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.) earned weekly Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) awards for their play in the team's 2-0-0 week that improved the team's record to 5-0-1 (2-0-0 CCC) on the season.

Armbruster, who has now won all five of her starts on the season and owns a record of 5-0-0 on the season, was named CCC Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts. The junior keeper earned the shutout over Wellesley in the team's 1-0 win making three saves before producing 60 scoreless minutes against Curry in the team's 5-0 win making two saves. Armbruster has extended her shutout streak to 210:01 over her last four matches.

Pesci was named CCC Rookie of the Week following a week in which she tallied two goals and an assist to total five points. Her five points all came in the team's 5-0 win over CCC foe Curry as the Gulls have now out-scored conference opponents 11-0. Pesci's two goals came on just two shots while her assist came on the eventual game winner. The freshman is currently tied for second on the team in goals with three and is third in points with eight.

Armbruster, Pesci and the rest of the Gulls welcome non-conference foe Springfield to the nest on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. before hosting CCC rival Roger Williams on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. as part of Endicott's Homecoming & Family Weekend.
