Women's soccer prepares for senior day
Beverly, Mass. - On Saturday afternoon, the Endicott women’s soccer team will honor the Class of 2011 as a part of Senior Day. Five seniors who have exhibited leadership, consistency, talent, and a pure love for the game will be recognized prior to the 12:00 pm match with Salve Regina at Endicott Stadium.

The Class of 2011 will be a difficult class to replace. This class has morphed from quiet, athletic, unassuming freshman into confident, courageous and refined soccer players. They have worked hard to take this program to a higher level and have left their mark at Endicott.

This year’s senior class has enjoyed much success as a part of the Endicott women’s soccer program. In their four years here, the Gulls have amassed a 56-18-4 record, earned three straight NCAA Tournament berths, and won two The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Championships. Endicott is 41-5-1 in conference play in the past four seasons entering Saturday’s showdown with Salve Regina.

\#Sarah E. Johnson\# (Harrisville, R.I.) has played in 71 games in her career. The midfielder has contributed three goals and five assists for 11 points. Johnson has always been able to provide a spark to the team and has contributed many valuable minutes for the Gulls. She is a very positive, hard working player who has exemplified great leadership and has been continually committed to the success of the program.

Tri-Captain \#Victoria Hunt\# (Cumberland, R.I.) has started every game in her four-year career as a defender. Since arriving as a freshman, Hunt has been an integral part of a steady and consistent defense that has held 0pponents to under one goal per game for the past three seasons. An outstanding field leader, Hunt gives 150% every time she steps on the field and is an inspiration to her teammates.

Tri-Captain \#Kayla Corbett\# (Danvers, Mass.) has played in 81 games in her career as a midfielder. Corbett currently is the team’s second leading goal scorer with seven goals and has played a major role in the team’s success. Her on-field presence and leadership this season has been incredibly valuable, providing solid defensive and adding a dangerous offensive threat to our attack. Her drive and dedication have led the team this season.

Tri-Captain \#Kayla Plante\# (Sanford, Maine) has 71 appearances in her career, scoring 12 goals and adding four assists. She is a very positive, hard working player who has exemplified great leadership and has been continually committed to the success of the program. Time and again Kayla has led by example and provided a steadiness and consistency that is immeasurable.

\#Karyn Plante\# (Sanford, Maine) has scored 10 goals and added six assists in 69 games with the Gulls. Karyn has continually worked hard to earn a starting role, and has adapted to playing different positions throughout her career. She has been an integral part of our success the past four seasons, filling many roles when needed and being an offensive threat.

Head coach Jodi Kenyon said “This will be a difficult class to let go of.  I have developed a great respect and personal relationship with each and every one of these young women and I am very proud of all that they have accomplished both academically and athletically. I will miss them terribly and hope they always stay connected as alums!”
