Boxscore

Beverly, Mass. – Endicott broke a scoreless tie with a pair of second half goals to defeat visiting Suffolk University, 2-0, in the Division III ECAC New England Tournament quarterfinals at Endicott Stadium. Head coach Jodi Kenyon picked up her 100th career win at Endicott as the Gulls advance to Saturday's semifinal against UMass-Boston.

The hosts posted 33 shots over the course of the game but were stymied by 19 saves from Suffolk goalkeeper Emily Joyce (Easton, Mass.). Endicott connected in the 68th and 71st minutes to pick up the win and improve to 16-5-2 overall. Suffolk wraps up its season at 13-4-1.

Kenyon hits the century mark at Endicott in just her sixth season at the helm. After today's win, Kenyon holds a 100-28-7 career record with the Blue and Green.
Junior forward Colleen Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.) threatened to put the Gulls on the board late in the first half, but had her right footed effort from the top of the box denied by a nice diving save from Joyce.

Senior Kayla Corbett (Danvers, Mass.) opened the scoring at 67:29 after taking a feed from Pepin. The midfielder took a back pass and calmly deposited a right footed shot into the top-right corner. The goal was the 11th of the season for Corbett.
Pepin added an insurance goal at 70:36 to move her season total to 24. Senior forward Sarah E. Johnson (Harrisville, R.I.) played the ball across the box to Pepin, who tucked a right footed shot just inside the left post to double the lead.

The Gulls' defense held the high-powered Rams offense to just six shots (four on goal) in the win. Suffolk entered the game ranked eighth in NCAA Division III in scoring at 3.92 goals per game. Freshman goalkeeper Natalie Wyrsch (Dover, N.H.) made four saves for the shutout.
Suffolk's Joyce had a busy evening, making 19 stops on 21 shots on goal. Endicott also held a commanding 11-2 lead in corner kicks.

The Gulls will take on UMass-Boston on Saturday in the semifinals of the ECAC New England Tournament after the Beacons defeated Norwich 2-1 earlier in the day.
