Pepin guides Endicott past WNEC, into TCCC Final
Boxscore

Beverly, Mass – \#Colleen Pepin\# (Fairhaven, Mass.) continued her torrid scoring streak with three goals on Tuesday afternoon to lead the Endicott women's soccer team past visiting Western New England College, 4-1, in the semifinals of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Tournament. Endicott improves to 15-5-1 overall and will travel to Bristol, R.I. on Saturday to take on Roger Williams in the championship game. WNEC drops to 13-8 overall.

Pepin's hat trick comes on the heels of three straight multi-goal games by the junior forward. Moving her season total to 22 goals in the win, Pepin has tallied ten goals and two assists in the last four matches.

Pepin opened the scoring in the 17th minute after a perfectly placed through ball from senior midfielder \#Karyn Plante\# (Sanford, Maine). The junior slipped past a defender at top of the box and cracked a low shot inside the left post to give the Gulls an early 1-0 lead.

Endicott maintained a 1-0 lead into the opening minutes of the second half. In the 48th minute, Pepin stole a back pass near the top of the box and ripped a shot into the bottom right corner to double the lead.

In the 68th minute, \#Kayla Plante\# (Sanford, Maine) ripped a shot from the left wing that was blocked by a WNEC defender. The senior midfielder deposited the rebound into the back of the net to make it 3-0.

The Golden Bears got on the board in the 73rd minute when junior forward Sara McMurray (Enfield, Conn.) fired a driven shot from the top of the box that deflected into the goal off the left post.

Endicott answered one minute later with Pepin's third and final goal of the day. Sophomore defender \#Christine Silva\# (Stoneham, Mass.) chipped the ball towards the right side of the box in time for Pepin's run. The forward made a soft touch on the ball past a charging Kayla Prout (Holyoke, Mass.) and calmly finished with her right foot.

The Blue and Green limited WNEC to just five shots including a pair on goal. Freshman goalie \#Natalie Wyrsch\# (Dover, N.H.) was forced to make just one save in the win.

The Golden Bears' Prout made three stops in the loss.

The hosts held a 20-5 advantage in shots and a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Gulls will face Roger Williams on Saturday in the TCCC Championship. The top-seeded Hawks picked up a 2-1 overtime win over No. 4 seed University of New England earlier in the day.

Roger Williams was the last team to beat Endicott, downing the Gulls 2-1 in Beverly on Oct. 19. Since then, Endicott has outscored its opponents 20-5 in four straight wins. The Hawks have gone 4-1 including a perfect 4-0 against TCCC opponents since the matchup.
