Women’s Rugby Goes 3-0 To Open Up Spring Schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Endicott club women's rugby team open up its 7's spring schedule on Sunday at the Bryant University Invitational with dominant wins against the host Bulldogs (20-10), Bentley University (20-5), and Coast Guard Academy (20-5).

Endicott also received solo tries from Lauren Hervieux (Lincoln, R.I.), Samantha Hontas (Lee, Mass.), Jordan Zak (Brimfield, Mass.), and Nicole McCardle (Castleton, Vt.)

TOP QUOTE

"We played pretty well considering it was our first time back since competing in the NSCRO Northeast Regionals last fall," said Endicott club women's rugby head coach Emily Record. "As the day went on we started seeing space more and supporting each other on breaks. Shelby and Reagan were great on offense, while Samantha Hontas had some great try saving tackles defensively. Jordan also was a force to be reckoned with in the rucks."

WHAT'S NEXT
