Endicott Defeats Bentley in NSCRO Women's Northeast Regional Playoffs

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Endicott women's club rugby team defeated Bentley University, 48-22, in the NSCRO Women's Northeast Regional Playoffs on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Gulls move to a perfect 9-0 on the season and will now face Colgate on Sunday in the regional championship with the winner advancing to the final four in Georgia.

The Gulls were led with great individual efforts from junior Maggie Birge (Rindge, N.H.) and Shelby Stevenson (South Dennis, Mass.) who scored two tries apiece. Samantha Hontas (Lee, Mass.) and Nicole McCardle (Castleton, Vt.) also contributed one try each. Lexi Labossiere (Waltham, Mass.) also hit four conversions for the Gulls.

The Gulls will now square off against Colgate tomorrow with the winner advancing to the final four in Georgia.
