Endicott Falls To Colgate In The NSCRO Northeast Regional Championship

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Endicott women's club rugby team traveled to Colby-Sawyer College over the weekend for the NSCRO Northeast Regional championship against Colgate University. The Gulls fell to the Raiders by a 74-7 score in the contest.

The Gulls came into the match riding a perfect nine-game winning streak after defeating Bentley in the semifinal round. In the opening minutes of play, Colgate came out firing, carrying the momentum through the first half. The Gulls eventually got on the board with a try from Jordan Zak (Brimfield, Mass.) and conversion from Lexi Labossiere (Waltham, Mass.).

"We played well and were knocking on their door a fair amount," said Endicott women's rugby head coach Emily Record. "We had a tough time finishing our opportunities during the game."

The Gulls have now wrapped up play for the fall and will return to action in the spring as they move in to their 7's schedule.
