Grady Garners CCC Defensive Player of the Week Nod

CCC Athletes of the Week (Week Ending March 15, 2015)

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has released their weekly awards and sophomore Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) has garnered this week's Defensive Player of the Week award. Grady helped the Gulls improve to 2-1 on the season as they defeated non-conference opponent Wheaton over the weekend. The honor is the first for the Gulls this season and a first for Grady who is in her first season with the Blue and Green.

The goalkeeper posted one of her strongest games between the pipes this season as she recorded 12 saves on 23 shots in the double overtime victory. Grady racked up a four clutch saves in the two overtime periods to keep the Gulls in the game as they lifted to a 12-11 victory.

The Blue and Green only competed in one game this past week as Grady now sits at 2-1 in her first season in a Gulls jersey.

Endicott will take the field next on Tuesday, March 17th as they host Head Coach, Morgan Maciewicz alma mater, Bates for a 5:00 p.m. start.
