CCC Athletes of the Week (Week Ending March 22, 2015)
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has released their weekly awards and sophomore Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) has been tabbed as this week's women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. The Gulls soared to a 2-1 week claiming victories over Babson and Salve Regina while falling to a tough NESCAC foe Bates.
Grady posted another impressive week for the Gulls as she recorded 23 saves in a 2-1 week for the Gulls. In a 9-7 triumph over Babson, Grady made 13 saves on 20 shots and picked up a team high five ground balls. In a 15-4 victory over Salve Regina, Grady made three saves in 30 minutes of play as she split time with her freshman teammate Molly Lane (Durham, Maine). In a 10-7 setback against Bates, she made seven saves while posting a game-high four ground balls. On the week, she compiled a 53.5% save percentage.
Endicott will see the field next on Wednesday, March 25th as they host Roger Williams for a CCC battle and 2014 championship rematch at 4:00 p.m.
