Men’s Tennis Bests Suffolk, 7-2

BELMONT, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team took down Suffolk, 7-2, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) clash on Wednesday evening at Belmont Hill.

In doubles, the Gulls soared out to an early 3-0 advantage and never looked back. 

No. 3 Matt Mittleman (Loudonville, N.Y.) / Patrick Johnson (Beverly, Mass.) and No. 2 Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) / George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) each earned 8-3 victories. 

Shortly after, the Gulls top pairing of Hudson De Risi (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) and Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.) turned in an 8-4 win.

In singles action, Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) chipped in with a quick 6-1, 6-1 triumph, while Spencer Smith (Albany, N.Y.) secured the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4.

No. 4 Oliver Pope (South Dartmouth, Mass.) and No. 6 Brennan Drolet (North Smithfield, R.I.) tallied 6-2, 6-1, and 6-1, 6-1 triumphs, respectively to round out the rest of the individual highlights.

Endicott (8-7, 4-2 CCC) hosts Gordon on Saturday, April 20 at 12:00 PM. Saturday's contest will serve as Senior Day for the Gulls. Suffolk (1-8, 1-5 CCC) takes on Emerson on Friday, April 19 at 3:00 PM.
