In doubles, the Greyhounds took the early one-point lead heading into singles play.

Meanwhile, in singles, Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass) showed plenty of grit for the Gulls despite his (6-3, 3-6, 2-10) setback at No. 6.

TOP QUOTE

"I like what I saw on our first day. We are applying what we've done in practice, running a lot of aggressive plays, and being more mindful," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "There's a lot to be excited about with this group."

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Today's match was played in conjunction with NCAA Division I and II rules which only award one point for winning the doubles portion of the match (best of 3, one point). This is in contrast to NCAA Division III rules which award one point for each doubles flight won by a team.
  • This evening's contest was the third all-time meeting between the two squads.
