BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott junior Oliver Pope (South Dartmouth, Mass.) earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
In Endicott's 3-1 week, Pope recorded one double and three singles triumphs this week. Against Western New England, Pope was a double-winner on Tuesday via an 8-7 (7-4) doubles victory as the Gulls' top duo. Alongside, a commanding 6-0, 6-2 singles win at No. 4.
On Saturday versus Curry, Pope registered a 6-3, 6-3 win at the No. 1 slot, while on Sunday he supplied another singles triumph at the No. 4 slot (7(7)-6(4), 6-3).
The South Dartmouth, Mass. native is 6-2 in singles play this season. This marks Pope's first career CCC Player of the Week honors.
