Five Gulls Earn NFHCA All-Region Honors

NFHCA RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Five members of the Endicott field hockey program have garnered National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region honors.

Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.), Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.), and Rachael Lemay (Westminster, Mass.) were named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team, while Brianna Anslow (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.) earned spots on the Second Team.

NFHCA ALL-REGION FIRST TEAM

Claire Boncek | Sr. | M | Hamden, Conn.

Boncek recorded career highs in assists (5) and points (13) in her transition from defender to midfielder this season.

Endicott led the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in goals with 90 total, averaging 4.5 goals per game (GPG, 5th in D3). The second-highest total in the league was 53 (3.1 GPG).

Defensively, Boncek also played a major role in the Gulls' conference-leading unit which only allowed 24 goals on the season for a 1.20 goals against average (GAA, 30th in D3).

This is Boncek's first career NFHCA All-Region First Team selection and second career All-Region award (2nd team, 2021, defender).

Meaghan Hogan | Sr. | F | Cheshire, Conn.

Hogan produced a career-best season for the Gulls en route to winning CCC Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Hogan established new high-water marks for goals (19), assists (13), and points (51), all of which led the league. Those figures rank 32nd, 11th, and 16th overall in D3.

This is Hogan's first career All-Region honor.

Rachael Lemay | Sr. | D | Westminster, Mass.

The CCC Defensive Player of the Year and first-time All-Region honoree guided Endicott to a league-leading nine shutouts (19th in D3) and 1.20 GAA (30th in D3) in 20 games started this fall.

Lemay is the first Gull to receive NFHCA All-Region First Team accolades since Emylee Wood '18 (Kensington, N.H.) did so in 2016.

NFHCA ALL-REGION SECOND TEAM

Brianna Anslow | Fr. | GK | Clifton Park, N.Y.

Anslow compiled a 1.23 GAA, 76 saves, a .776 save percentage, and a 14-5 record in 19 starts (1069:33) for the Gulls.

The CCC Rookie of the Year ranked second in the league in GAA and save percentage (34th in D3, both categories).

Meanwhile, in conference-only play, Anslow allowed just one goal in six games (330 minutes).

Anslow is the seventh student-athlete in program history to receive CCC Rookie of the Year honors and the first goalie to accomplish the feat since Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) in 2017.

Olivia Lampasona | Sr. | F | Watertown, Mass.

Lampasona notched a career-best 13 goals alongside two assists for 28 points on the season (17 games played, all starts).

Her goal and point totals ranked second and fourth in the league, respectively.

Lampasona also buried three game-winning goals, which ranked second on the team.

This is Lampasona's first career All-Region award.
