Field Hockey Stymies Roger Williams, 5-0

BRISTOL, R.I. — The Endicott field hockey team used five different goal scorers to defeat Roger Williams, 5-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Bayside Field.

Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.), Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.), Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.), Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.), and Lindsay Bruns (Belfast, Maine) all scored in the win.

Lehouiller was credited with the game-winner via her first career goal in the first (9:34), while Lampasona (18:26, 2nd), Hogan (49:34, 4th), Boncek (54:07, 4th), and Bruns (54:28, 4th) followed on the scoring ledger.

In goal, Brianna Anslow (Clifton Park, N.Y.) stopped four shots to record her first collegiate shutout (3-2 overall).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 16-1 all-time against the Hawks
  • The Gulls snapped Roger Williams' 4-0 start to the season.
  • Endicott has 11 straight versus the Hawks dating back to 9/17/2016.

Endicott (4-2, 1-0 CCC) hosts Salem State on Wednesday, September 21 at 7 PM. Roger Williams (4-1, 0-1 CCC) visits Eastern Connecticut State University next Wednesday at 4:30 PM.
