BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott freshman goalkeeper Brianna Anslow (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and freshman forward Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.) have been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week, and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Anslow did not allow a goal in a pair of victories in the cage of Endicott this week. She started the week by playing the first half of a decisive 8-0 win against Salem State on Wednesday (Sept. 21) in which she did not have to make a save. However, when she was tested three days later against Husson, she was able to deny all five of the Eagles opportunities to earn the shutout in a 5-0 non-conference win for the Gulls.
Dengler contributed to two Endicott wins this week, finding the back of the cage in both contests. She started the week with a goal on her only shot-on-target against Salem State on Wednesday (Sept. 21). She added another score and a helper three days later on Saturday (Sept. 24) in a win against Husson. For the week she had five points and five shots on-goal.
