BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott baseball program earned its second straight American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award on Monday, August 1, as announced by the organization.

Created during the 2015-16 academic year, the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award honors all high school, junior college, NAIA, and NCAA Division I, II, and III programs who post a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for an entire academic year.

In 2017-18, the ABCA saw 292 college and high school programs earn its Team Academic Excellence Award, highlighted by 94 high school teams and 77 programs from NCAA Division III. The 292 programs recognized by the ABCA also broke the organization's previous record of 227 teams honored in 2016-17.

"We are thrilled to be able to honor all of this year's Team Academic Excellence Award recipients," said ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz. "It is a privilege for our association to have the opportunity to highlight so many deserving teams and recognize all of the hard work they put in off the field throughout the year."
