CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Endicott baseball team traveled to MIT for a non-conference tilt on Tuesday evening and came away with an 11-2 victory.

The Engineers got on the board first as they tallied a run in both the second and third innings.

However, Endicott responded in the top of the sixth, though, when the team exploded for 10 runs. The inning was highlighted by a double down the left line from Dan Cacciola (Saugus, Mass.)

The Gulls added on one more run in the seventh inning on a solo home run from Kyle Brennan (Wallingford, Conn.) and then held MIT scoreless for the remainder of the contest to secure the win.

Zachary Sultar (South Windsor, Conn.) got the start on the mound for Endicott and pitched just over four innings. He struck out seven batters while allowing only two runs. Alexander Mandrus (Acton, Mass.) came in during the fifth inning and improved to 4-0 on the season. Mandrus went 3 1/3 shutout innings and struck out two batters.

Closing out the game was Alexander Zaiser (Naples, Fla.) who saw one inning of work and struck out one.
