BEVERLY, Mass. – For the sixth time in the last seven seasons, the second-seeded Endicott women's tennis team will play first-seeded Nichols College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship this Saturday in Dudley, Mass. at 1 PM.
PLAYOFF HISTORY: The Gulls have won five out of the last six CCC titles, while Nichols enters Saturday's matchup as the defending conference champion.
PREVIOUS MEETING: Nichols defeated Endicott, 5-4, at home earlier this season on September 7. It was only the second match of the year for Endicott, and the fourth for the Bison. RECAP – NICHOLS EDGES ENDICOTT, 5-4
ENDICOTT (10-2) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE: The Gulls beat third-seeded Roger Williams, 5-2, in the CCC semifinals to advance to Saturday's championship match. Endicott will enter its contest against Nichols with a 3-1 road record on the year.
NICHOLS (13-2) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE: The Bison topped No. 5 seed Eastern Nazarene, 5-1, to move on to the CCC Championship. Nichols also is 8-0 at home this season.
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of Saturday's CCC Championship match will earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament in the spring.
