Endicott Ends Regular Season Unbeaten in CCC Matches

MILTON, Mass. – With a 9-0 win over Curry on Saturday, the Endicott women's tennis team will head into the CCC Tournament with a 10-2 (8-0 CCC) record and will soon be named the top seed for the upcoming conference playoffs. The Gulls are currently riding a three-match win-streak and have won nine out of their last 10 matches.

The CCC Tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 7th with quarterfinal action. The conference will issue an official release of the tournament seeding on Sunday following the conclusion of the final regular season matches.

On Saturday against Curry, Endicott swept through both doubles and singles play with the help of two forfeits by the Colonels at the #3 doubles and #6 singles positions.

In doubles action, senior Natalie Egbert (Gorham, Maine) and junior Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.) teamed up at the #1 flight to win 8-1 while sophomore Mackenzie Rhodes (Rye, N.H.) and freshman Maxine Bergstein (Hingham, Mass.) won #2 doubles 8-0.

In singles play, senior Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) won her #1 singles match 8-1, freshman Dayan Reilly (Swansea, Mass.) took down her #2 singles opponent 8-0, junior Suzie Newman (Dighton, Mass.) captured an 8-1 win at #3 singles, sophomore Jamie Zompa (Marlborough, Mass.) won #4 singles 8-1, and freshman Hannah Kravetz (Wayland, Mass.) took down her #5 singles opponent 6-0, 6-0.
