The Endicott women's tennis team avenged last year's 4-5 loss to Roger Williams in the CCC finals with a 9-0 victory yesterday in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The Gulls began the match by sweeping the doubles, though not without some struggle. Both the 1st doubles team of Melissa Marrone and Tessy Garcia and the 3rd doubles team of Julie Castle and Bridget Poulsen eked out wins by a score of 9-7. Blythe Langley and Brianne Cogan had an easier time, winning their 2nd doubles match, 8-4.

In singles, the Gulls dropped only one set. Winning at 1st-6th singles were Langley, Marrone, Garcia, Cogan, Sofia Pagano, and Castle.

The Gulls who lost their only match of the season to Salve Regina on Saturday are back on the winning track with an 8-1 record. EC will travel to Milton, MA on Saturday, October 11 (noon start) for their next match.
