Box Score

BEVERLY, Mass. - Powered by two goals from their senior tri-captain, defender Sarah Miller (Nashua, N.H.), the Gulls easily rolled past visiting Anna Maria College on Senior Day held at Endicott College. With the win, Endicott finishes the season undefeated in The Commonwealth Coast Conference at 12-0-1 and improves its overall record to 13-2-2, while the AMCATS of Anna Maria fell to 3-10-4 on the year, still remaining winless in conference play at 0-10-1.

The Gulls thoroughly dominated play throughout the game, jumping on the AMCATS quickly and never looking back. Thirteen minutes into the contest midfielder Caitlin Flynn (Southold, N.Y.) scored off of a penalty kick, beating Anna Maria goaltender Karine Almeida (Brockton, Mass.) to put Endicott up for good.

Spreading the wealth around, Endicott had six different players who scored a goal, and a total of nine players tallied a point during the contest. Five minutes after Flynn's first goal, forward Colleen Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.) put one in the net after a downfield rush from Casey Moran (Bradford, Mass.), and a cross from teammate Allyson Bellemore (Manchester, N.H.). Pepin easily flipped it in after the assists from her teammates, quickly making the score 2-0. To close out the half, the senior Miller netted her two goals of the game within ten minutes of each other, the second being an impressive 35 yard boot that soared over the AMCATS goaltender, making the score a definitive 4-0.

In the second half, Endicott's Bellemore, Meaghan McGovern (Wrentham, Mass.), and Briana Russo (Danvers, Mass.) also put themselves into the box score with goals, ending the game with a 7-0 victory for Endicott. Thoroughly dominating the contest, the Gulls had a 41-3 shot differential, while playing three different goaltenders including senior Amy Meuse (Saugus, Mass.), Nicole Lawlor (Mansfield, Mass.) and Elise Berry (Londonderry, N.H.).

Looking to continue their hot streak of 14 games without a loss, Endicott will next face a strong Tufts University squad on the road in a nonconference matchup that will be Endicott's last game of the season. This game will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anna Maria looks to pick up its first conference victory of the year when it hosts Nichols College in a game at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
