Box Score

QUINCY, Mass. - Endicott's Caitlin Flynn (Southold, N.Y.) and Colleen Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.) scored in the sixth and 33rd minute, respectively, as the Gulls eased past Eastern Nazarene, 2-0, in TCCC women's soccer action in Quincy, Massachusetts on Tuesday evening. Endicott rifled off 29 shots in the winning effort.

The Gulls controlled the tempo from the get-go, dictating the play in the Crusader's end of the field. TCCC Player of the Week Caitlin Flynn broke through for her fourth goal of the season just six minutes into the game as she beat Breanna Mereness (Castleton, N.Y.) to give Endicott the 1-0 lead. TCCC Rookie of the Week Colleen Pepin doubled the Gulls' advantage in the 33rd minute as she directed the ball into the back of the Eastern Nazarene net for the 2-0 edge.

The Gulls had their fair share of chances in the second half, however the Blue and Green simply couldn't capitalize as the contest continued. The Endicott defense was once again strong with goalkeeper Amy Meuse (Saugus, Mass.) earning her second shutout of the season.

With the win, Endicott improves to 5-2-1 overall and 4-0-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The loss drops Eastern Nazarene to 2-6 and 0-3 in TCCC play. Endicott travels to Wentworth on Saturday afternoon in hopes of extending its current five game unbeaten streak. The Crusaders get back at it against WNEC on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
