DUDLEY, Mass. - The Endicott College women's soccer team remained unbeaten in The Commonwealth Coast Conference with a 4-2 victory over host Nichols College Wednesday afternoon. Junior midfielder Caitlin Flynn (Southold, N.Y.) scored two of the Gulls' three second-half goals to help Endicott improve to 10-2-2 overall and 9-0-1 in TCCC action. Nichols, which pulled within one in the 65th minute, drops to 7-7-0 and 3-6-0 in league action.

Senior Sarah Miller (Nashua, N.H.) gave Endicott an early first-half lead when she collected a Nichols clear attempt and fired from more than 35 yards out. Her shot sailed just out of reach of Bison senior goalkeeper Sarah Levesque's (Ludlow, Mass.) extended hand for the one-goal lead in the 27th minute.

Karyn Plante (Sanford, Maine) put the Gulls up by two just over four minutes into the second half when she planted a ball that careened off a Nichols defender in front of the net.

Plante set up Flynn's first goal of the day in the 55th minute when the pair were breaking in on the net. With Plante on the left, she fed the ball past a Bison defender to Flynn on the right where the junior fired a shot into the left corner.

Nichols answered back 26 seconds later as Laurel Houle (Brooklyn, Conn.) found Holly Ventura (Hudson, Mass.) in the box and as Endicott goalkeeper Nicole Lawlor (Mansfield, Mass.) came out to play the ball, Ventura knocked the ball past the keeper on the ground, cutting the Gulls' lead to 3-1.

The Bison edged within a goal in the 65th minute when Chelsea Shaughnessy (Halifax, Mass.) chipped the ball ahead for Chelsea Blair (Blandford, Mass.) as Blair took off ahead up the right. She collected the ball and fired over Lawler's head for her fourth goal of the season.

Flynn netted her second goal of the day in the 78th minute with a long shot into the upper right 90 from the outer left side of the box. Kayla Corbett (Danvers, Mass.) set up Flynn with a quick pass up. Levesque made four saves for the Bison, while Lawler stopped eight in the win.

Nichols is back in action on Saturday in a noon game at Eastern Nazarene. Endicott hosts New England College on Homecoming Weekend on Saturday at 4 p.m.
